The 2019 Honor of Kings World Champion Cup (KCC) Final kicked off at the stadium of the Shenzhen Universiade Center on August 10th, where RW and eStarPro as two KPL teams contended for the championship. The contest was concluded with eStarPro defeating RW by 4:2, making eStarPro the first champion of the Honor of Kings World Champion Cup and winning the prize of 13.44 million yuan. As with past KPL finals, the final this time was also interrupted with a fantastic halftime show.

The event was hosted by Versus Programming Network (Shanghai) Co. Ltd. (VSPN), with audio devices and system integration supplied by Shanghai Jiaxun Audio Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Frequency Response Conference System Equipment Co., Ltd. Mr. LU Jianming acted as the PA audio mixer, and Ms. WANG Yan the OB audio mixer. Advanced Communication Equipment (International) Company Ltd. (ACE) participated in the design of the audio system and offered technical support throughout the event, to ensure its wonderful moments were perfectly displayed.

The event was organized on a four-sided platform, with 2 JBL speakers placed on either flank of each side (8 in total). The speakers were all ground stacked, as there was no place for suspension. The longer sides were placed with 6 JBL V25 speakers and 2 JBL S28 subwoofers, while the shorter ones with 6 JBL V25 speakers and 1 JBL S28 subwoofer. And 2 groups of 3 JBL A12 speakers and 2 JBL G28 subwoofers were used to fill in the gap in the middle of either longer side. 6 JBL VTX A8 and 4 B18 speakers - JBL’s new offerings, were placed at the VIP area on the 2nd floor. 3 JBL VTX A8 speakers were placed as supplement in the rear, as the commentary position in the corner blocked some of the sound coverage of the primary speakers. 12 JBL VP7215 active monitors were used for in-stage monitoring. Approximately 50 CROWN ITHD PAs were used for all PA systems.

2 Soundcraft Vi3000 consoles were used as mirror backup for the primary console, and 2 Soundcraft Vi600 ones as mirror backup for the OB console. 3 ACE Links were used as the signal switch system. All wireless microphones belonged to either the SHURE ULXD series or the SHURE AD series, with a total of 16 channels. Also, ACE’s devices and technical services could reassure users of less considerations over possible problems that might follow.

12 competing teams from KPL and KRKPL (short for Korea King Pro League) participated in the event, which had 3 stages: the group stage in Seoul of South Korea, the knockout stage in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, and the final stage in China’s Shenzhen on 10th August 2019, with the overall bonus worth up to 32 million yuan. It’s an important attempt that the Honor of Kings has made to make the KCC international.
