2018 KPL Spring Finals (“KPL Finals”) was completed on July 8th in Mercedes-Benz Arena Shanghai. This is the first final competition after official establishment of the west and east divisions. This game was regarded as an achievement of KPL localization and an important breakthrough in mobile electronic athletics.
There were crowded on the spot of KPL Spring Finals in Mercedes-Benz Arena Shanghai, reported a new record of viewer numbers since the beginning of KPL. 18,000 seats were divided to RED and BLUE camps supporting western team Hero Competition and eastern team EDG.M separately. After 5 rounds of fierce fighting, Hero Competition finally won the SilverDragon Cup for the first time.
To ensure the perfect performance in the Spring Finals, VSPN were committed to the high level audio production once again. The whole set of audio system was provided by Shanghai Weiyin Stage Arts Engineering Company Ltd., and the system design and on-site support were provided by ACE International.
Main sound reinforcement system consisted of 8 groups of JBL Double 15” line array speakers, including 32 VTX V25II speakers and 32 VT4889 speakers surrounding the stage evenly. And 16 VTX G28 Double 18” subwoofers were placed on floor. We also used 6 VTX Series V20 line array speakers for frontfill, and 8 F15 speakers as stage monitor system for the band. All systems were powerd with Crown IT-HD Power Amplifier Systems.
For Mixers, we selected 2 Soundcraft Vi600 Mixers used as the FOH main/backup mixers, and 2 Souncraft Vi3000 Mixers used as the main/backup OB mixers. In addition, Shure Axient DigitalAD, ULX-D, QLX-D wireless microphone systems providing 26 channels in total, and PSM1000 providing 6 wireless IEM channels for Hosts and Artists were used on-site.
Spring Season competitions have concluded successfully and Autumn Season competitions are coming soon. All teams are striving to win the King Champion cup. Let us enjoy the youth, shine the luster of life, and contribute to the event again!
