Since 2008 Beijing Olympic Sailing Competition, the whole world will have its eyes on here again. The 18th Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit will be held on June 9 and10 in Qingdao. Tonight, the lighting and fireworks art show "A Warm Welcome to Friends From Afar" will be performed at the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center to welcome all the distinguished guests attending the Summit.
Zhang Yimou acted as the Chief Director, and Sha Xiaolan acted as the Chief Producer of this Show.
The lighting and fireworks art performance "A Warm Welcome to Friends From Afar" differs from the traditional performance form by blending Chinese traditional culture with the modern technology.
Taking the sky as screen, the sea as platform, and the city as backdrop in this show, the performing stage is built on the sea. It is creative to integrate the city’s night scene into the stage performance through the combination of multimedia spherical video, the circular- screen projection on the sea stage, and the building landscape of coastline city.
In this performance, lighting control and video control all use German MA lighting consoles, including 3 Fullsize consoles, 4 Light consoles, 2 NPUs and 2 Command Wings, plus. 44 Arkaos Video Servers are used for video.
With an open mind, charming Qingdao welcomes people from all over the world, embraces SCO and impresses the whole world!
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is a permanent intergovernmental international organization, the creation of which was announced on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai, China by the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The SCO aims to strengthen mutual trust and good-neighborliness among the member states; encourage their effective cooperation in political, economic, scientific, technological, cultural, educational, energy, transportation, environmental and other fields; make joint efforts to maintain and ensure regional peace, security and stability; and establish a democratic, fair and rational new international political and economic order.
