Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM) can be traced back to the Economic Department established in 1926, which was merged into other school in rearrangement of colleges and departments of 1952. In 1979, Tsinghua University set up Department of Economic and Management Engineering in order to meet the needs of Reform and Opening. Afterwards Tsinghua University SEM established officially in 1984.
The Lecture Hall of School of Economic and Management is located on the first floor of Weilun Building in Tsinghua University. In addition to using for teaching work and academic conference, it is also one of the most important lecture halls in Tsinghua University. For instance, the annual Tsinghua Management Global Forum held in the hall has been attracting great attention from the important figures in global financial worlds. Its daily operating hours are 24/7 in general, so SEM is particularly concerned about the stability, safety and ease to use of its sound reinforcement system.
After fully understanding the use characteristics and requirements, ACE teams proposed a comprehensive design plan for the audio system of the Hall.
The system employs the intelligent audio management technology, with DANTE and Analog dual-linksignal can be switcheding automatically and seamlessly in the workflow, the audio system is easy to use with evenly covered sound filed and perfect sound quality..
From microphone to the Amplifier input, the audio signal was transmitted by both analog and digital format with redundant system, which ensure lossless sound quality while improve security and reliability of the system. Digital audio transmission use network signal, which enhances convenience of system integration and scalability of the system.
The entire sound reinforcement system can be seamlessly connected to and controlled by AV control system, while using necessary technical means to ensure quickly switch whenever the AV control system fail, ensuring the safety and operability of system under special circumstances.
In this inverted cone shaped Hall, the audiences will focus on presenter on the stage. We need to ensure adequate sound pressure level and appropriate decoration style when choosing the main speakers.
The main PA Speakers were consisted of 2 groups of JBL CBT1000+CBT1000E Column Speakers, with total power of up to 6000W (continuous power). They are used for sound positioning and sound energy covering.
Front Area Sound Covering Design: Embed 2 horizontal angle adjustable cylinder speakers in only 12cm height proscenium opening, allowing the hearing experience of front-row audiences completely consistent with their perspective.
Rear and Under Aisle Areas Sound Covering Design: 6 JBL Control328 ceiling speakers were used for covering the seats at back, and 4 JBL Control226 ceiling speakers were used as fill speaker for the temporary seats under aisle.
The total power of 4 main PA speakers is up to 6000W, 2 horizontal angle adjustable apron stage speakers, 10 fixed-resistance ceiling speakers and 2 JBL STX812 as the monitor speakers, such a complex speaker system requires only 4 amplifiers to drive. This thanks to CROWN's powerful DCI series multichannel digital power amplifier design.
CROWN DCI Series Amplifiers have 2-8 channels options, and drive power of each channel can also be selected from 300W-2400W. So the system designers can neatly choose the right model according to the number of speakers, power and other driving methods, to get the best matches and the best cost performance. CROWN DCI Digital Amplifier fully supports digital AVB\DANTE\AES67 network audio signal transmission. It also has audio DSP processing capability, and other functions such as speaker preset call, sound field adjustment, condition monitoring and control management.
The Hall has equipped a perfect intelligent central control system. Created and built under the lead and guide of the head of SEM Lecture Hall management, it is a set of intelligent platform that can realize the unified management of multi systems of video, audio, network, wireless projection, recording and broadcasting and so on. This intelligent control system carries all the audio and video control signals of the Hall. BSS BLU806 Signal Processor is used as the core processor to manage and control audio signals.
If the system has traditional audio processor and the central control system only, once any controlling unit fails, then the speech or other sound cannot be heard. Accordingly, we have considered the safe operation of the system at the beginning of design, and employed both digital and analog signal transmission during the audio system, in which the core devices can standby for each other by switching the presets. If any part in the digital signal transmission link fails and causes interruption of digital signal transmission, the amplifier will automatically switch to the analog. The system can be used normally without any manual operation for switching. Yes, that's how smooth it is! Similarly, if the core processor does not work, or the central control fails, the user can manually control the audio system by "one-click call" .
Soundcraft Si Performer Digital Console is an important part of the system. When the central control system has problem or the audio processor is not working properly, users can take over the audio system control with the “One Click Call”. In the digital audio age, getting a clear, seamless, smooth and perfect audio experience is so simple. Of course, the most important and essential part is the tuning process by ACE professional team.

Key parameters of SHURE Wireless systems can be monitored from your iOS devices. This Application can automatically detect and easily connect to the networked , compatible SHURE hardware via Wi-Fi, then control the critical channel information, including RF signal strength, audio levels, and remaining battery power. Users also can quickly switch between wireless channels with a sortable list of channels. A feature available for purchase is adding mobile controls to wireless channel settings. Unlocking this feature, users can control frequency distribution, audio gain, mute, and more operations.
