On October 29, 2017, the original large-scale music creative show “Idea Show” debuted on Jiangsu Satellite TV (JSTV), and will broadcast at every Sunday 22:00. As an important music program launched by JSTV, there has band accompaniment, singers live performance, and a number of experts making comments. So it has very high requirements for the quality of audio system.
In order to meet the high requirements for sound reinforcement on-site, we worked with Jin Shaogang’s audio team to complete a careful on-site investigation and rigorous software simulation before setting up the system. After taking into account stage arts and lighting layout and making adjustment accordingly, we finally selected the latest JBL A12 dual 12” Line Array Speakers, to present brilliant sounds to the guests and audiences on the scene. Let’s witness the different charm of adaptation of classic songs.
For P.A. system, we used suspended 24 JBL A12 dual 12” Line Array Speakers with 12 for each set as left and right channel, 5 JBL VTX S28 as Subwoofers were suspended at center position; 4 JBL VTX V20 were suspended for side audience area; 4 JBL VTX F15 as front-fill speakers for the mentors. System amplifiers all used CROWN IT-HD series amplifier, in which IT4X3500-HD amplifiers drive A12 and V20, and IT12000-HD amplifiers drive S28.
The suspension angle of speaker was calculated by JBL latest LAC3 simulation software. And JBL Performance Manager software was used for system setup, alignment and performance system monitoring. All amplifier inputs were configured in digital and -analog for redundant switch, which can be swtiched within the software to ensure system security.
Due to the complex conditions of hanging work and the coordination between various construction works, installation time was very tense for this event. Thanks to JBL A12’s new unique hoisting method, we saved a lot of time in installing and removing strings of Line Array Speakers and adjusting angles, ensured the system operating well.
Finally, after intense construction, installation and careful commissioning, the entire audio system reached its best state. Varied song styles from different guests and contestants were all presented perfectly.
