On September 1, 2017, Vocational Training Council (VTC) held its 35th anniversary fundraising concert “Making Dreams Come True” at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The proceeds will be donated to the VTC Student Development Fund.
At the concert, VTC Symphony Orchestra and the choir, led by the Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Shi Xinzhi, presented a series of exciting classic music and movie music. It is first time to add a multi-media visual art show into the concert, plus AR technology and powerful and efficient audio system on site, brought a stunning audiovisual feast to the audience.
Industry insiders all know that Symphony orchestra concert is a very big challenge to audio systems and engineers. The sound reinforcement system of this concert was provided by ACE (International) Co., Ltd.
All speakers for this concert were all JBL VerTec Series Line Array Speakers, particularly 2 brand new dual 12” Line Array Speakers A12. We used three groups of VTX A12, 4 in each group as the main PA speakers; two groups of VTX V20, 4 in each group as fill speakers for the edge of stage; 6 JBL VTX G28 as subwoofers; 10 JBL F15 as front-fill. In addition, we used 14 Crown IT4X3500HD to drive the main PA system and front-fill, 3 Crown IT12000HD to drive G28 subwoofers.
For the mixer, we used all Soundcraft Vi series Digital Mixers - 1 Vi7000 as the main mixer, and another Vi2000 as the monitor mixer. In addition, the performance of the guest singer Joyce Cheng used Shure's ULXD4Q and ULXD2/KSM8.
The Concert went smoothly and the audio effect was stunning. In addition, JBL VTX A12, with its full and bright sound quality, efficient and easy to use, has won the praise of concert audio team to bring a wonderful music experience for the audience!
