Light up the ultimate dream, ascend to the peak of glory!
On July 8, 2017 KPL Spring Competition Finals title sponsored by Sprite, was held in Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. Two teams reached the Final - veteran team AG Super Play and young dark horse QGhappy, gathered together with ten thousands players! VGL (video Game Live), the most professional game music performance group in the world, played live a magnificent Our Hero is Back.
King of Glory is a fastest-growing mobile game in recent years. As the only official league match, KPL attracted a large amount of attention. General Manager of Tencent Interactive Entertainment Mobile eSports Department Gao Li announced that DAU of King of Glory has passed 50 million mark, and published the KPL data – the number of viewers is already over 350 million before the Final start. Mobile eSports and pan-entertainment content operator VSPN was the general producer of this event. Aside from KPL, they also produced IGL, CFP, LPL, CR, HPL, TGA and a series of top-level eSports competitions.
The event was so popular that 13000 tickets were sold out within 10 hours. The event scene is four-sided stage, and the requirements for sound reinforcement system are very strict. With their rich experiences in live broadcast of large-scale events, Shanghai Weiyin Stage got the projects of equipment supplying and production. All sound reinforcement equipment supplied are ACE’s agent products. ACE provided comprehensive equipment and technical support, helping to perfectly present the wonderful moments of KPL Finals together.
On the scene, the sound reinforcement system used a total of 94 JBL speakers. 8 groups of JBL VTX V20 dual 10” Line Array Speakers were hung above the four-sided stage, and the same series VTX S25 dual 15” Subwoofers were hung above the main auditorium.
To ensure spacious visual effect, only 8 JBL VTX G28 dual 18” Subwoofers were placed on the ground. However, these 8 subwoofers perfectly realized the ultra-bass needs of this ten thousand people space. Each side of the four-sided stage were placed 4 JBL VTX F15, in which 8 JBL VRX932 used to cover the front area audience, 4 JBL VTX F15 used as monitor for hosts and live bands. All systems equipped with Crown ITHD Power Amplifiers.
Two Soundcraft Vi600 mixers were used on the scene. One was used for main PA, the other was used for VGL band. Mr. Craig Stuart Garfinkle, the producer of all music in King of Glory, said that the intuitive operation of Vi Mixers was his favorite. Its interface is very friendly and intuitive. No one will feel it very strange even they have never used it. Audio Director and Sound Engineer Wang Yan said that the energy and coverage of JBL V20 are satisfactory, and the unique hoisting way makes installation no longer painful. In addition, the equipment and technical support services provided by ACE can also reassure users and reduce a lot of worries.
