Time passes quickly like in a flash, Hong Kong has returned to the motherland for 20 years.
On the morning of June 30, 2017, the supreme leader of the People's Republic of China inspected the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Garrison in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region at Shek Kong barracks. The Military Parade was an important part of 20th anniversary celebrations of Hong Kong's Return.
In this Military Parade, a total of 20 formations more than 3,000 officers and soldiers underwent the inspection. More than 4,000 guests attended the ceremony. To ensure that the voice of the leaders can be transmitted to every corner of the world, and the event can go well and safely, all sound reinforcement system were provided by ACE, and the design, installation and commissioning works were completed by ACE and Yong Sheng International jointly.
On-board wireless system used the most secure wireless system Shure Axient to ensure that the voice of the leader can be transmitted to every corner of the world in 1350m long inspection distance. In a total of 12 Axient series Wireless System, each transmitter equipped with 2 independent receive channels for quick switching. In the 1350-meter-long inspection distance, RF signals used optical fiber transmission. In addition, antenna amplifiers were evenly placed on both sides of runway to ensure the Parade goes well.
Reviewing Stand was divided into four regions, each region 150 meters long. Each of three main salute areas was deployed with 12 speaker positions, each position with 2 JBL VTX V20 Line Array Speakers. Through fiber optics transmission, 72 JBL VTX V20 evenly covered each seat of the Reviewing Stand with a clear and soft sound.
As for the 20 formations to be inspected, the voice of each formation was transmitted to leaders and troops through 1 JBL VT4889, and the voice of each 2 formations were controlled by a Soundcraft EPM12 or Signature Mixer. JBL VT4889 has participated in Parade for 60th Anniversary of People's Republic of China, and Parade for 70th Anniversary of Anti-Fascist Victory, which has become a veteran of the military parade loudspeakers! All troops still used Shure series Condenser Microphones to answer greetings.
The mixers of the main sound reinforcement system consisted of Soundcraft Vi series, including 2 Vi6, and 1 Vi1. 2 sets of Vi6 used as the main/standby mixer to control the overall sound reinforcement in entire parade. Vi1 served for the Military Band.
Under pressures of tight time and heavy tasks, in the high temperature and humidity environment, the audio system team has worked hard for 60 days, and completed the tasks safely, smoothly and successfully. Pay tribute to our motherland! Pay tribute to Hong Kong!
