The Jiangsu Center for the Performing Arts (“JSCPA”) is located to the west and west of the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center of the Wenti Axis of Hexi New Town, Jianye District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It is adjacent to the Yangtze River and faces the Jiangbei New District across the river. With a total floor area of 271,386 square meters, JSCPA is the largest cultural project in Jiangsu Province. It is renowned as “a platform for the display of world-class art works, an exchange platform for international art events, and a platform for public welfare art education promotion”.

JSCPA consists of a 2,280-seat opera hall, 1,001-seat drama theater, a 1,500-seat concert hall and a 2,711-seat multifunctional theater, as well as a 780-seat small multifunctional theater and ancillary facilities. JSCPA can accommodate performances of opera, dance, drama, traditional opera, symphony, folk art and large-scale variety show by world-class art performance groups and is also a place for public cultural activities.

ACE is mainly responsible for the stage lighting of the 1,500-seat concert hall, as well as the equipment supply (including ClayPaky moving lights, Ayrton LED zoom Par lights, MA lighting consoles, Spotlight conventional lights) and technical supports for the opera hall, drama hall and multifunctional theatre.

ACE was responsible for the construction of the stage lighting system, including 75 sine wave circuits, DMX512 output 12 circuits and RJ45 Ethernet 12 circuits. They are distributed in the fore stage lighting gallery (24 sine wave circuits, DMX512 output 1 circuit, and RJ45 Ethernet 1 circuit), stage grid (36 sine wave circuits, DMX512 output 6 circuits, and RJ45 Ethernet 6 circuits), stage area (9 sine wave circuits, DMX512 output 3 circuits, and RJ45 Ethernet 3 circuits), F2 balconies (6 sine wave circuits circuits, DMX512 output 2 circuits, and RJ45 Ethernet 2 circuits). Four circuits of three-phase 32A power sources are provided at the stage grid and orchestra pit in order to fully meet the performance needs.

The concert hall stage lighting system consists of two grandMA2 Ultra-light 4096-channel lighting consoles, 96-channel State Automation (SA) dimming cabinets (including 2.5kW sine wave dimmers 75 channels) and field lamp control equipment.

The concert hall stage lighting system has two network stations in the lighting control room and dimmer room, each with 24-port Gigabit switches, MA 2-port Node E/D converters, DMX amplifiers, fiber optic boxes, fiber modules, patch panels, UPS and other equipment to ensure effective transmission of the network data of the stage lighting system.

The concert hall stage lighting system consist of 10 x ETC 750W 19° ellipsoid imaging halogen spotlights 10, 10 x ETC 750W 26° ellipsoid imaging halogen spotlights, 75x ETC 575W MCMPAR lamps, and 24 x Ayrton ColorSun 200S RGBW LED spotlights. The lighting effects of this design greatly enhanced the cultural service functions of the concert hall.

The construction and commissioning of all the stage lighting systems of the concert hall have now been completed through joint efforts of our colleagues.
