The 9th Global Conference on Health Promotion was held in the Shanghai Hall of the Shanghai International Convention Center on November 21, 2016. More than 1,180 distinguished guests from 126 countries and regions and 19 international organizations attended the conference.
The Broadcasting Technology Department of Shanghai Media Group provided all sound reinforcement equipment and was responsible for the installation, commissioning and production. ACE provided technical supports.
The sound reinforcement system used 30 15’’ JBL VRX932Lap evenly divided into five groups. They are equally distributed and hoisted directly above the apron. The VRX932Lap is a constant curvature line array speaker that ensures sound consistency when the speaker groups are used together. Each VRX932Lap is equipped with three high-frequency compression drivers that work like a single drive. This enhances the sound power output. The VRX932Lap is an active speaker, the DrivePack amplifier is designed by Crown. It provides powerful power output while ensuring safety and reliability.
A Vi400 and a Vi600 digital mixing console were used. The Vi400/600 was originated from the Vi4/6. With the new Vi000 card, the Vi4/6 can have more buses, monitoring Shure wireless microphones and seamless mirroring with any Vi00/000 model. The new console takes only 15 seconds to start up, and updated to Vistonics2 generation interface of the Vi000s. The integrated UI design makes it safer and more reliable than the previous model. In the event, we used the new mirroring functions to synchronized the two consoles. This improved the security of the entire audio system. We also used two Soundcraft Si Performe for OB.
The event used a total of 18 channels of SHURE Axient wireless microphones. The Axient series wireless microphone features dual-frequency transmission and frequency diversity. It may detect and evade interference with the use of WWB software. This ensures security and stability of the wireless system, which is crucial for an important event.
