Information

A large-scale multimedia landscape lighting performance jointly sponsored by Beijing Fengshangshiji Culture Media Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Media Group of Radio and Television Station of Shanghai was successfully previewed recently in Yan'an Baota Mountain to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March.

The lighting performance showcased on the 15,000-square-meter mountain cliff of Baota Mountain was the largest of its kind in China. Sha Xiaolan acted as the general director and Teng Junjie as the chief planner. It was constructed by Beijing Liangye Company and produced by Beijing Fengshangshiji Media and Shanghai Media Group. Guangzhou AUTOLT, Yajiang Photoelectric Equipment, Ruifeng Tech. and ACE participated in the production.

The lighting performance was previewed in Yan'an Baota Mountain

The performance was based on the mountain cliffs on the west side of the entire mountain and the Yan'an Pagoda (of Lingshan Temple) and supplemented by the riverside landscape lighting of Yanhe River and Nanchuan River as well as the mountain landscape lighting of Baota Mountain, Qingliang Mountain and Fenghuang Mountain. The performance unfolded the magnificent historical pictures of the 12,500-kilometer trek, vividly showcased the cultural characteristics of Yan'an and Northern Shaanxi, recalled the 13-year struggle of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Yan'an and Northern Shaanxi, and demonstrated the mentality of the Chinese people at present striving for realizing the "Chinese Dream" and achieving the “Two Centennial Goals” inspired by the "Yan'an Spirit".

It was an audio-visual feast based on new technologies. Thirty Barco HDW26 26000-Lux projectors were used to cover the entire Baota Mountain with an area of 15,000 square meters. Beijing Fengshangshiji Media and ACE provided part of the video control equipment. The main part of the video control system consisted of sixteen Apple Mac Pro servers which used a total of sixteen Arkaos Media Master Pro programs.

The use of the Arkaos Media Master Pro software, fully rack-mounted design and high hardware configuration ensured smooth synchronized playback of the performance files.

All cables for the cabinet were meticulously wired and marked and tied according to the permanent installation standard. The success in the use of Arkaos in such a large-scale MAC platform is of great referential significance for large-scale projection performance engineering systems.

Each 44U cabinet had eight Arkaos video servers and the KVM switch management was employed. Professional cabinet management contributed to the system stability.

Protools was used to synchronously trigger the video and audio systems. A standby system was used to ensure performance safety.

The Shanghai World Expo proven high quality wireless bridge for signal transmission was used for the lighting system in the Baota Mountain.

We used two MA consoles for lighting and video control. A standby system was used to ensure performance safety.

Thirty Barco 26’000 Lux projectors to produce spectacular view

Three hundred AUTOLT 330 waterproof beam lights

Reproduced the epic pictures of the Long March and Yan'an Spirits

The water of the Yellow River descended from the sky, symbolizing the power of the revolutionary fire.

The performance ended in a happy folk song of northern Shaanxi, but many people watching on the banks of Yanhe River lingered. The performance is not only an audio-visual feast of new technologies, but also a vivid "Party class" that comprehensively displayed the Yan'an spirits and the spirits of the Long March. It reproduced the magnificent Long March epic and the great Yan'an spirit and is an important cultural event to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Red Army’s Long March.
