The 2015 Guangzhou Super Cantonese Rock Music Charity Festival was launched on January 23 at the Haiyin Ersha Football Stadium in Ersha Island, Guangzhou. The festival is an outdoor rock music charity festival hosted by Guangdong Highsun Group. It is a gathering of the most popular and most characteristic rock bands in Guangzhou.
A total of 13 local bands from Guangzhou performed, including INSECTICIDE Band, Chuibotang Band, Heitao Band, LUKTOMO Band, ME-GA Band and VETO-WAY Band. The Guangzhou Kangle Musical Instrument Store offered all the stage equipment. The stage main sound mixer and monitoring console were all from the Harman Soundcraft Vi series. The Shure microphones were used. The latest release QLX-D digital wireless microphone system was used for sound pickup for the lead signers. ACE provided the whole-course technical supports.
Soundcraft Vi3000 digital mixer, the Harman's latest version, was employed. The StuderVista 1 is provided with the new DSP SpiderCore processor, Soundcraft Vi4.8 software, and powerful UAD hard plug-ins. The sound monitoring console is a Soundcraft Vi1 ultra-compact digital mixer for up to 64 channels of sound mixing capability.
The 13 bands took turns to perform on stage, and there was only 10-15 minutes for the commissioning. This had a high requirement on the operation convenience of the mixer. The Soundcraft Vi digital mixer with its intuitive interface design and excellent response performance is more than enough to meet the needs. The Soundcraft Vi series have always been recognized as the most practical digital mixers.
As the performance venue was located on the edge of the Pearl River, there were interferences from ships in addition to interference from land. Given such complex RF environment, use of the Shure QLX-D digital wireless microphone system effectively avoided the interference frequencies as it may automatically locate clean and usable frequencies. No frequency loss or external interference had occurred during the two-day consecutive use.
With the main purpose of developing local music culture and promoting charity, it is not only a music festival, but also a conveyance of love. This made the festival firmly supported by every audience!
